Upcoming physio

Well I have a nervous wait now as I have a physio assessment on Thurday afternoon for my stomach and back. I wil find out if its going to be reparable by physio or if Im looking at surgery.

I have been feeling so down about the whole thing, as Im trying so hard to get in shape post pregnancy but my seperated stomach is giving me hidious back pain to the point where simple things like hoovering or hanging out washing does my back in so much at takes a good 24 hours to recover. I stuggle to even lift Dylan up and to get up and down from floor level or bend over and I need both hands to support myself. So exercise so far has been out of the question which has really slowed down my weight loss.

Im just scared that surgery might be the only option and I will end up on a waiting list for years while in the mean time I stuggle to do basic tasks and look after my kids properly

Either way the decision has been made that we will not be having any more children now as a result.

Just hope I get some positive news on thursday now.

Well good result!

The physio was lovely, siad I was in great shape for 6 weeks post birth so liked her very much lol!

The gap that was 4 fingers a month ago when midwife checked me is now only three fingers and she is confident that will close to 2 fingers within the next 6 weeks. Once it hits 2 fingers I can exercise normally. In the mean time I can do pilates, swimming, treadmill, cycling and most aerobic work, but cant touch any weights as my back wont support me and no rowing. I have been shown some good core muscle exersices to do and need to continue to roll on to my side when getting out of bed, as any 'sit up' type movement pulls the muscles further apart. Apparently 6 months after birth is when they are at about the best they will be. I also have a slight umbilical hernia from it, but she says they will brob go back in as the muscles go back together.

So basically If it gets to next year and Im still not happy with the results Im off to prague for a weeks holuday and tummy tuck for £2600!
