Cold sores usually appear on or next to the lips, or less often on the nostrils, chin or other parts of the face, and sometimes inside the mouth on the palate or gums.

when i was younger i used to get them bad but it was because i kept picking at them and they would spread not saying your picking them hun but i found using vaseline during the day and tuthpaste on it at night cleared mine up within 2 days (toothpaste draws the yuck out of it and helps dry it out same with spots :wink: )
