Cheese

I love cheese esspecially with my pasta dishes - Is this a BIG sin to have? Parmesan I guess thats more fat than normal mild cheese? What about the cheese you get in tubs (sprinkle) a sin also?

I'm dreading spag bol with no cheese

Fact is all cheese with exception of mozarella and cottage cheese are fattening. The trick is actually to use the strongest cheese you can so that you need to use less to get the same flavour. SO a sprinkling of parmasan is fine cause you need very little to flavour a dish. I know when I have things like melted cheese on baked potatoes or sheperds pie I find Ican use far less of a strong chedder than if I use a mild chedder cause the mild stuff you need loads off, esp when making a cheese sauce. Plus adding a little mustard to a cheese sauce brings the cheese flavour out even more.

Cottage cheese is the ulitimate diet food! so low fat and good for you! have it on baked potato, or better still baked sweet potoato and you have a super healthy meal.
