Don't know how i'm supposed to do this?

Don't know if anyone read my last post about my migrains but i feel no better. I still keep fainting and losing my vision, my head still hurts. Ewan has gone back to work today and i'm worried i may passout whilst on my own when looking after Oliver. I've been really struggling to look after him cus i feel so poorly and with him not being well himself he cries alot and i'm finding it really hard. I don't know how i'm going to get better when all i can think about is Oli being poorly and knowone knowing whats wrong with him. My head cant cope with his constant crying x

Have you been to the doctor about it? Migraines run in my family, I used to go home from school almost every week with them, and my mum's are now so bad she's on epilepsy medication. They can sometimes be triggered by foods - banana, chocolate, red wine - could it be to do with any of these? Maybe try avoiding them and see if it helps. There's loads of different things the doctor can prescribe, but there's some alternative ways of treating migraines.. vitamin B I think is good for preventing migraines if you take one a day. I used to get them a lot if I missed a meal, or my blood sugar got too low. During pregnancy I had to eat a chocolate bar every 2 hours - that was my excuse lol. When I was on my own in Cyprus 5 months preg, I remember going out to lunch and waking up with my face in a chicken sandwich, had no idea how long I'd been passed out.. It makes me laugh now, but it was one of the scariest moments. My fault for going out in a heatwave though. Yeah but anyway, I'm talking too much now.. Hope you're alright, and Oliver. Saw your facebook pic and he's grown so much, looks like a little boy now, rather than a baby xx

Sorry missed that post to be honest.

I dont really quite know then. Perhaps if your OH is back at work have you got a fried or a family member that may be able to come and stay for the short term?

My mam gets all those symptoms when she has low hormone levels, she had cervical cancer which eventually led to a hystorectomy(sp) & plastic surgery. I know its not quite the same thing but similar thing with the drop in levels.

Hi, I also suffered from migraines from a young age, flashing lights, passing out etc etc and it was always just presumed by the Drs that because my Grandmother, Mum and one of my sisters get them that it was heridatory end of story. Well, about 18 months ago they started to get worse and worse, I would have one and then I would never get out of it completely ie the migraine would be for 3 days, then I would have a severe headache for a week and then the migraine would come back etc etc. I had all of the brain scans with the "specialists", they found nothing wrong and I was just put on meds because my face had started going numb when I got them and I would drool (which was attractive!). Anyway, after another few weeks I went back to my GP in tears, he came around the back of me grabbed my neck and said "does this hurt" seriously I blacked out. Turns out I'd had a compressed nerve in my neck and no one had ever thought to look, after a few sessions at the chiro and lots of physio I swear I've had 2 migraines since and they were "baby" ones. Looong story but maybe worth checking out if all other options have been looked into?? I really feel for you, can't be fun with a little one xxx

Sorry missed that other post first time round. Hope things get better for you soon. My mums were really bad like that, which is why she's on really powerful epilepsy medication. She hasn't had a migraine since though. x
