hi everyone

can i just say (well if anyones in the uk) have tried the cambridge diet????

well before i fell pregnant i was on it for only 5 weeks and i lost a total of 2 stone and 8lbs yes i know its hard to believe i also lost lots of inches,

i am very overweight and needed to lose about 7 stone to be classed as healthy and after being recommended this diet by a friend i tried it out and i must say in my eyes this is the best diet ever!!! the reason being as the results are seen straight away and you dont have to wait months to see a result as if your like me you end up getting bored and then binge i lost my first stone in the first week i started it and was weighed and measured weekly and the results were brill, well im now pregnant i warn you though i conceived whilst on this diet my friend did too ,

your not allowed to do the diet whilst breast feeding so as soon as thats over with im straight back on it!!!

it is pricey though i was paying £35per week which includes all your meals for the week and a counsellor who takes charge of measuring and weighing you on a one to one basis weekly,

and yes it does sound too good to be true the only thing is with this one you have to be determined as it can be hard the first few days but once in ketosis your fine!!!

i keep thinking about doing the cambridga diet, i did the lighter life programme a few years ago and lost 4st in 3 months, it was amazing(then i met hubby and it all went down the pan!!!!)

cambridge is more affordable(LL is about £65 a wk now), need something that shows results asap, have sooooooooooooooo much weight to lose it feels like a losing battle

seriously though huni, maybe you should see your GP and ask to be referred to a nutritionist?

thx

I spoke to a woman from la leche, and atm I try to eat extra high calorie foods, like musli with nuts etc...

but if it still does continue, I will go to see my GP

can I ask him to be referred to a nutritionist?

possibly, I should do it straight away

the other thing is, the weight, I have atm, is together with all my clothes ... winterjacket, shoes, etc. ... as I always go to the pharmacy to check my weight! did not come round to get a scale yet!

just wonder how much I have to deduct for this?

Well ladies I have decided that it's time for me to get back into shape. It's been 5 months since Angel was born and its not an excuse anymore!
Im disliking the way that I look and feel and I feel like it's time to change. Especially because I want to TTC the beginning of next year and I want to be in the best possible shape so that I can have a long healthy pregnancy.

I dont have a strict diet regime yet but I am slowly going to start eating healthier and try to drink more water. Im also thinking about getting a swimming pass because other than dancing thats what I love to do.
Today at the grocery store I bought lots of fruits and veggies and didn't even go down the cookie isle

You all have been wonderful throughout the last 5 months so I know you will all be a great support while I try to change my habits. Id love to wear a bikini this summer So wish me luck

Okay, I'm officially joining!! I weigh 11 and a half stone and I aim to loose at least 2 and a half stone (hopefully within the next 12 months). I'd also like to get down to a size 8, but whichever one comes first, I will stop there. I think for my height being less than 9 stone wouldn't be healthy and if I get to a size 8 before I get to 9 stone I'll stop as I don't want to drop below a size 8 - been there - it looks unhealthy on me and doesn't suit me at all.

Is anyone else still actively using this thread??
