I'm in a 3 bed but in terms of HB only entitled to 2 but I still get some money from them I just have to pay the extra since this house costs more to rent than a smaller one

No hun you do not get it all paid.

I have a 3 bed house and have 4 kids but only receive child benefit for 2 so i have to pay for the 3rd room.An extra 160 a month. Not easy on Income support i can tell you.you can get local housing allowance but they do look at your needs 1st and child benefit is a huge factor x

We were expecting to have to pay the whole wack to be honest, I didn't feel like we would be entitled to anything as we can manage the full rent pretty easily, but I went on entitledto.co.uk to find out about WTC (which we get NONE!) and it said we were entitled to housing benefit x

Oh yes you will be entitled to some because of LO even my single mate who gets 1000 a month gets a little bit of help.It is all circumstances and there is a bracket to which they pay but beware as i took this house on thinking i'd get help as i was told but nope not at all.Best check with the local council.Sometimes they have on line calculators on their sites x

Well we budgeted to not get anything, so we'll still manage without it... Hope we do get it though!

You should get some hun. Remember though they take up to 12 weeks to sort out claims.Shocked you don't get working tax but whilst you get child tax cred you should other things ie H/B x

If you get a good wage you wont get any help , going by what you said before about how OH earns a fair good wage higher then some i dobt you will get any. We dont get any help with council tax nor housing benefit and our wage shot down last year and still arnt eligible.

I guess if the place has a silly amount of rent you may??
