I
think that if you're on income support, your course fees are paid for - and I don't think that affects your benefits. However, if you apply for other financial support i.e. you get money given
to you for books, equipment, etc, then you would possibly have to declare that and it could affect your benefits. I'll look into it a little further, there might be something in my open university account that explains it.
