Income Support

I sent off my child tax credits jus over a week ago so i informed income support that i was no longer a single person + that i would be a single parent, the guy on the phone said it would take 2-3 weeks for my money to change but does it get backdated to the date Aidan was born like child tax credits and child benefit?

I think so yeah, as Aiden is 4 weeks old and I had a letter from them today saying they owe me around £53 in backdated money on top of the new amount I will be receiving.
