Statutory sick pay

When you are getting ssp can you get any other benefits such as income support or housing benefit?

No, as SSP is a work-related benefit. You are still employed and are not entitled to anything else. I am on SSP currently and am either going to have to go back to work soon or hand in my notice, so that my maternity pay is not severely compromised.

When on ssp you can apply for housing benefit and council tax benefit, also check if you are entitled to working tax credit.
