Child benefit, tax credits and housing benefit

So we are currently on housing benefit due to "low income" just wondering if anyone knows while we are putting in a claim for CB and TC will our housing benefit be put on hold so to speak or continue to be paid until we find out from the people how much we will be getting??

Also how long did it take for you to hear back from CB and then once you had done that how long for TC? and how long did it take to start getting payments?

Sorry for the amount of questions lol but all new to me still hardly no anything about housing only been on it almost 3months lol

it shouldnt stop but be aware tht ctc, wtc and cb are classified as income wen assessing HB so once you start recieving any of them yr HB will go down so if they are backdated the you might find yr end up being overpaid hb

yeah we have informed them we are sending off a claim and they have told us as soon as we get a letter saying how much and when the money till start we need to go and hand it in so we dont end up oweing money but apparently some lady from the housing said we should be moved up into the 2bed allowance since baby is here now instead on the 1bed allowance we currently get...

Dont know if its true or not but if it is that means it should stay about the same
