Tax credits - new claim


Do i have to send anything in with my form? I cant see it saying anywhere that i need to...

You mean renewal - new financial year? You just check details are correct if they aren't you ring them up to update anything that isn't then sign send form.

If its a whole new claim then no you just complete and send off

To add a child to your tax credits where an award is already open again you just ring them they update it over phone x

ops forgot to say, its a new claim lol. never ahd tax credits before.

i have just sent my tax credits and you only have to send the birth certificate but send it recorded dont want it getting lost xxxxxxxx

I was not aware you need to send certifiacte - With child benefit yer but I have not had to send it in for working/child tax credits with either of my 2! x

Aahh that makes sense, on the form it asks for the child benefit number, so im guessing they use that as proof for any children.

yeh but I didnt have my child benefit number when I sent mine off because I did it at the same time. didnt have any problems.

we didnt send anything they link up with CB

didnt have my cb number either wasnt a problem

Yeah i have just completed my new claim and didnt need to send anything and didnt have my CB number to give them either yet. Think they only ask for birth certificates and things if they have a query. Kx
