how quick did your first claim for tax credits and child benefit take?

hi all..

just wondered what your experiences have been on claiming above for the first time?

as me and oh are living in rented accomadation (until my tenant moves out) we are entitled to a small amount of housing benefit,... have applied but have been told wont be paid out till tax credits and cb sorted...

just trying to budget etc

It took 8 weeks with my 1st child to be sorted but 12 weeks with my second, I was fuming! I hope they sort yours out quickly x

Only took a few weeks for both to be sorted for me.

got luisas birth cert back yesterday from CB with a b=note to say they will write to me once claimn has been completed..

hoping this means its on its way!

Can't remember how long CB took but CTC took 3 weeks and they were backdated 3 months x
