Phoebe has 3 "meals" a day. Sometimes she only has a few tablespoons at a meal and other times devours food like it is going out of style. My feeling is that at 6-7 months the majority of nutrition and calories should definitely be from milk so it's not about how much they are eating but about exploring food and learning eating habits. Phoebe is breastfed so I make sure she is getting iron in what she eats every day. Generally she has yogurt or fruit puree and cereal (puff pieces she self-feeds) for breakfast, veggie for lunch (carrot sticks or baked sweet potato fries) and a rice cake for lunch, and then some type of puree and some of our dinner (she ate ground beef pieces last night and the night before had ravioli pieces) for dinner. I let her eat until she isn't interested anymore.
I was with some moms today whose 8/9 month olds only had purees, one meal a day and didn't eat very much at all so when I told them what Phoebe eats they looked at me like I was crazy. I think it just depends on the LO. Try not to stress too much.

Thank you, she currently has baby cereal for breakfast with a fruit purée followed by bottle, two other bottles then tea of a veg or veg/meat purée followed by frontage fraud or rice pudding then last bottle before bed. Sometimes she not that fussed with her tea but suppose it is trial & error!

I let Freya lead the way - some days she'll eat a fair bit, other days, not so much. Today she's had a piece of fruit bread and a bit of mandarin for brekkie, a mini pitta with salmon spread, half a tomato and a bit of banana for lunch and tea will be sweet potato wedges, broccolli, carrots and a chicken strip. She hasn't eaten all of it, ie she sucked the spread off the pitta but didn't actually eat a lot of the pitta, but that's fine at the mo x

Freya's BLW thou, and with this, it's more about giving them opportunities to eat/explore food. She only eats a little at each meal it's not 3 massive meals. Plus, we don't bother some days if we're out, so she might only have 2 meals some days. Don't worry, I think someone (Summer Rain, I think) said the other day, the guidelines have changed and they're not expected to be on 3 full meals now until they're 1? x

We are a bit up in the air atm. He's stopped taking milk but eating lots of food.

Today was weetabix w/ milk. Lunch - wouldn't have a bottle so tried food, he ate a whole pita bread pizza, then a half a banana. Dinner was a whole omlette, then the rest of the banana.

I just put the food on his tray and let him decide how much he's going to eat.

If your LO was having too much I'd have thought they would sick it back up, or refuse to eat it.
