Baby won't eat when I'm there...

Hi my LO is 8 months (still breastfed) and weaning has been a bit of a battle due to illness etc but now he won't eat when I'm there! So weekdays he hardly eats a thing and just cries for the breast.

At the weekend my DH can feed him a bit but only if I'm not around. I'm currently banished upstairs and LO is downstairs screaming inconsolably with DH

Is this something that we just have to go through? I was planning to BF till he's at least 9months possibly a year but right now I want to give up so he's not so dependant on me :'(

I feel like such a failure

I'm interested by this as my 1yr old has started to do this a bit. She has been ill with one thing after another lately so to keep up her fluids and energy I've been giving lots of boobie. She's better now and at nursery will eat a ton but she's still preferring boobie at home - even though she wont stay still long enough so keeps demanding every 5 mins!!
