Salted peas!


I make her baby food from fresh veggies, but bought peas organic and frozen since I couldnt find those fresh- I could not find salt free!! What do you do? I soaked and rinsed, think thats ok?

Anyone? Is a small amount of salt ok since they are rinsed?

i just rinse peas off..
i dont add any salt to any of her food so i see no problem. x

I didn't know frozen peas had salt :s I thought they were just peas! Dont think there's any such thing as salt free frozen peas?!? The anabel karmel book says frozen peas for some recipes so I guess they're fine hun xx

Thats what I thought too, I went to two different places- one of them more like a health food store even!

OT- as gross as they look, pureed peas are delicious. Haha, I cant wait for her to try them!

The frozen peas available in the UK have only a trace of sodium-so not sure if the ones over there have salt added to them? xx

Never heard of salted peas, hopefully you can figure out how many is too many regarding the salt.

You know... I am a big dork. I didn;t think to look at the sodium content. I was just looking at ingredients: Peas, Salt.

200mg per 2/3 cup. Seems like a lot.
