jars or homemade?

i dont think i will have time to make joshuas dinners.

if we ate more veg he could ust have some of our mashed but we dont have much at all and im thinking if he has jars he will get more of a selection of food.

what would you go for, jars or homemade?

if jars, what jars do you use?

thanks kay.

i know jars will be more easy but i dont know if ill feel guilty for giving him jars,i guess he can have some of our when we have somethig he can have.

hes still only on baby rice at the moment but when i put him on to veg and fruit can i just use jars straight away?

usually jars have a few different flavours.

I did start to make some meals - still do, but I also use Hipp organic jars for the variety they can offer. It is so hard to make anything but veg or fruit purees at this age & I think it is difficult to get a variety of tastes otherwise.

What you can do is mix a little of the fruit or veg into the rice so that it has a familiar taste & texture when you first start to introduce the fruit & veg. You can start with a little, then gradually add more of the fruit or veg until he is used to the taste. I still mix fruit with baby rice if he is having some as that is what Jack likes & I think the fruit can be a little harsh on its own, but he is now going onto stage 2 main meals.

Homemade would be ideal choice but just wasn't practical, everytime i spent a n hour making a batch of food i'd just get it thrown back in my face but with a jar at least she ate it,

I've still got frozen food which i made in my freezer from when i started weaning at 6months, 4 months later its not been touched, she eats what we eat, which is great, no mashing or pureing, do whats best for you...x
