Mixing Milk

Is it okay to mix pumped breast milk with formula milk?

So long as they have both been prepared/stored correctly then yes. The mixed milk can look a bit strange at times depending on what the breast milk is like but it's fine. Remember that if you are making the formula fresh, add the breast milk once the formula has cooled.

Great qu- I was confused by this too- my sis in law suggested I do this to encourage Isobel to take a bottle

i was told never mix them always give the brest milk then a top up of ff if needed

I'm currently moving Andrew from EBM onto formula, and they're being mixed at the moment on the advice of the Paediatrician (so he gets used to the different taste & consistency).

You DEFINATLEY can. Its done in neonatal units to help babies put on weight better.

If you don't know how much baby will take, give the EBM then the formula, so you don't waste the EBM.

But there is no reason other than that not to mix them.
