Baby bounces/jerks in highchair when eating

I am puzzled and a little worried because it looks weird - I don't know if it is over-excitement or enthusiasm or what, but Adam will jerk back hard two or three times in quick succession in his highchair while eating. I think he is pushing up from his bum not his feet. It worries me because it looks like it is out of control... it's hard to describe but like he's been taken over... his face looks normal so I don't think he is having a fit or anything, but... I don't know. Does anyone else get this? Is it ok? Is he just having fun while making Mummy fret?

Aisling smacks herself really hard onto the back of her high chair and I think she seems to like the fact that it moves her chair across the floor? Drives me insane though

Ruby bounces in her highchair too, and tries to push herself away from the table (not successfully any more now I've stopped her by putting my foot on the chair under the table) I think it's just fun for her. The less hungry she is, the more she does these things.

Thanks, ladies. Not sure if he is attempting to move the highchair - he certainly could be as he had a field day when he realised he could push against the leg of the table and move backwards, but he doesn't do it every time. He was ok today, didn't bounce. Didn't eat that much either but oh well.

We call it crazy legs, and both Amber and DS1 have done this. I actually still wiggle my foot when eating!

Kian wiggles around like a mad man in his high chair...he takes a bite of something then flings himself around and smacks his hands on the tray....i think he's excited! He also does it just as i bring his food over!

Sofia goes mad some days in her highchair too. She's always pushing herself away from the table, standing up in her chair, bouncing up and down, smacking the table - she's a ratbag
