He won't take the cooled boiled water from his sippy cup!! He just opens his mouth, puts it in and does nothing more lol!! Suppose he'll get used to it after a while!

So far today he's had bottle at 7:30am then at 11:30am banana porridge and another bottle. Not really sure how to separate the feeds/food times just yet, but we'll see how we go!!

Scally, does Izzy only have 3 bottles a day now then? How much water does she take at each feed? Maybe I should put the water in a normal bottle, or keep trying with the sippy cup??

Ps. you girls are lifesavers for me & all my questions xXx

She does have three bottles now- about 7oz at 6.30, 7oz at 3, and 8 and half oz at 7. As she is on the three meals they recommend lowering the milk feeds. As for Joe's sippy cup, which one have u got? I found the ones where she had to suck the lid she didnt bother, we have one that just comes out, she coughed a bit at first with it, but has got used to only putting it in a bit. does that make sense???
Why dont u keep going with the sippy cup for now as he is having all his milk feeds, and it'll get him used to it when he eats. We only give her so much water now as she has cut out a bottle, and i dont want her to get dehydrated or constipated, so today she has taken about 4 oz of water from her bottle, and only about an oz from her sippy cup. Really i think the sippy cup for her is just to moisten her mouth when eating- same as when we eat we have a drink. Sorry i've gone on a bit now!!! lol

Thanks hun! I think I'll keep trying with the sippy cup as he's having so much milk. He does need to suck the cup to get the water out, so maybe that's what he can't work out?
