Breakfast - 7 months

What do/did you give your 7 month old for breakfast?

I usually give my daughter either baby porridge or the HIPP breakfast fruit pots.

I was wondering when you could give them normal cereal like weetabix or shreddies etc

Also i give her fingers of toast and slices of fruit which she sems to like.

I give G either normal adult porridge, weetabix with a bit of milk or natural yogurt with normal no added sugar adult muesli. I think as long as you watch the added sugar/salt level then its fine now.

Adam has had: Weetabix with yogurt or formula (if he left some from his breakfast bottle - I don't like just pouring it away); rice krispies with weetabix; porridge (normal oats cooked in milk); plain yogurt; banana; pear; nectarine; plum; scrambled egg; prunes; toasted crumpet with butter. He really loves yogurt but doesn't get it every day as it's so messy.

I use full fat normal milk (unless I have leftover EBM on a sunday morning coz I work on saturdays and OH feeds EBM bottles) - G is still BF and I'm not buying formula just for his brekkie - but I think with El not drinking huge amounts anyway I'd use formula is I was you.
Forgot to say G also has had crumpets which he loves but the salt level can really vary - usually the supermarket own brand are OK but the name brand type (warbutons/hovis) can have more than double the salt in!!

Ive tried El with Crumpets put she just spits it out. When she has toast she old eats the smallest amounts. She usually sucks the butter off the toast and then throws it away.

We usually do adult porridge with formula as it'd take forever for me to pump the amount needed for brekkie. I use formula instead of normal milk because normal milk has a higher salt content and because I'd like her to have the benefit of omega 3 oils etc in formula. I've been using the Hipp Organic formula because it has 2 sealed pouches in there which means I don't have to throw anything out when it goes past the recommended 28 days. The one box usually does me at least 6 weeks. I'll be finishing the current box and then going onto cows milk as she'll be over a year old by then.

Ruby was not eating breakfast at 7 months, but these days she had shreddies with whole milk for breakfast.

Kian usually has either adult porridge, or rice krispies, shreddies or weatabix, usually with either dried of fresh fruit mixed in and usually made with formula but sometimes i mix the cereals in yogart instead.

other times he's had toast and fruit, or homemade blueberry pancakes, he's a lttle bit of bagal with cream cheese and salmon before, and egg...we BLW so he's tried lots of different things for breakfast. It depends what i'm having. Cereals seem to b our main breakfast choice tho.
