Just wondering.....

Hi all,

I just wondered... My son is nearly 5 months old, on this monday. He already learns how to open his mouth and take food in his mouth! When I pick up the food that on the spoon, he opens his mouth before I do that, then give it to him and he swallowed it and opens mouth again!! I have been giving him baby rice for a while now. Can he be allowed to eat from baby food jar that have 4months plus? I just thinking about give him a baby rice mix and mash with banana?

Any info would be grateful.

Yes he can although it is recommended not to introduce solids until 6 months. Just do one taste at a time and wait a few days to make sure he does not have a bad reaction to any of the foods. Pear and carrot are first good tastes. Banana is quite difficult to digest and can cause constipation.
