Random Question....

Hi ladies

Just popping over from baby club (got a while before I'll be in this section lol) with a quick question.....

Is there such a thing as a folding wooden highchair with a tray??!! I'm just looking in advance because most don't come cheap! And I cant seem to find one anywhere!

I've heard a wooden highchair is better something to do with easier for cleaning but then again would I not need to buy a padded seat bit and possibly straps or something?

It's like picking a pram all over again

I'm not sure about a folding one. I have a wooden one and I've bought a cushion for it but I can just take it off and throw it in the washing machine

I never looked at the wooden ones TBH. The tripp trapp ones are very popular and they are pretty compact in the first place - I think babydan do something similar that's a lot cheaper. I just got a chicco polly, I've been eyeing them since he was only a bump.

I'd say if what you want exists, kiddicare.com is the place to find it, they seem to have almost every baby product in the whole world!

I have the babydan which is very similar to tripptrapp but they don't have trays and don't fold away

We bought a folding one with a tray to start with and it still takes up a fair amount of room when folded down (Chicco Happy Snack)
We have a Tripp Trapp which is great, as Lu says, the cushions can be taken off and machine washed.

Thanks will keep looking!

And will nosey at the tripp trapp one as well

Basically Im looking for one that folds, is easy to clean, has a tray, seat straps and probably a padded bit for sitting in. Would have preferred wooden but would be happy enough with plastic one lol

Does it even need a tray??

It's definitely not massive. It takes up no more space than a regular dining chair, so we just keep Ruby's at her place at the table all the time.

We paid £160 on Kiddicare.com for the chair, the baby set, the cushion and harness. You can get them on ebay for less but they are usually collection only and we never ound one local to us!
I would definitely look at the babydan one, it looks no different and is cheaper. I think they're about £80 in John Lewis but again, ebay has some.
