What to do when LO refuses a (previously eaten) food?

My LO has started refusing foods he previously liked, e.g. baby rice with fruit. I gather he may find it a little bland now in comparrison to other foods. He also shows a preference for fruits over savoury dishes like casseroles etc.

When he refuses a food I don't force it, but do I offer another (and another) food until he find somethine he wants, or will this create a fussy eater?

Thanks

Ruby often goes through phases of loving a food, then not being bothered with it at all. I have thrown a lot of fruit out today! I offer a few things at each meal so there's always something she wants. Like, meat and pasta. If she doesn't want the meat she'll eat the pasta.

I was never made to go hungry if I didn't like my dinner as a child, and I literally eat everything now.
