no it sounds sensible to me, sometimes Amelia won't eat her lunch knowing that pudding is going to be sweet!

Well I bought a different porridge and I gave her a little bit of apple after her tea last night and I think it's doing the trick. She had the porridge this morning with apple and banana added and then she went. Although the smell is still pretty rancid, it's a better consistancy so she didnt strain at all. Thanks again.

Elliot's no 2's are firmer then before when he was just on milk, but he doesn't strain or anything. They do stink though! lol.

He's another baby who loves fruit, i've been giving him a bit of fruit puree or fruity yoghurt for one meal and savory for the other meal so far (he likes cheesy cauliflower!).

Need to start on breakfast next week....been gradually building up.

Foods that are constipating are: Banana, rice, appleSAUCE, and bread.

If she is constipated, I would avoid those foods for a bit.

Try oatmeal instead of rice, and either put some fruit in her diet or give her apple JUICE, pear juice, prune juice or white grape juice (mixed 1/2&1/2 w/water).

Or, you could skip the solids all together and just BF until she straightens herself out.

Sometimes, constipation is a sign that they arent quite ready for solids yet.
