DH and I are going to start TTC in August. I am also 30 years old. I wouldn't worry about being on the pill for so long, some women get preggers immediately after, some women take longer. It's impossible to know how your body will react. But I do share the same fear as you. I haven't been on bcp's since last June (we've been using the "pull-and-pray" method, with (unfortunately) a high success rate. So, I worry that it'll take a very long time to conceive when we do start trying in August. I keep telling DH we should just start now in case it does take a while and he said, no because with our luck I'll get preggers on the first shot. <sigh> However, I am quite doubtful.
