Prozac is one of the few "safe" drugs to take during pregnancy but I am still really ambivalent. Because of my history (been hospitalized twice and have had depression since I'm 12) my doctor doesn't want me off at all but supported my decision to try to come off but strongly advised I wait until I get that
I'm so sorry you have to wait longer than expected. I do too. We originally were going to start TTC in May - so I'm with ya. I know how it feels. If you need to talk or anything, I'm here - you can e-mail me, PM me, etc. | Thanks so much Chris. It's really nice to know that there are others that are going through similar situations. I'm right with you when it comes to being on an antidepressant while pregnant. I have a friend who was on Zoloft for her entire pregnancy and had a healthy baby boy, but I would prefer not be on anything while pregnant. In addition, I KNOW that I have made a lot of progress in therapy, I just have a bad habit of scaring myself and making things worse! I just want to be free of drugs and be able to cope on my own!
I think for your situation you're going about things the right way. I will be keeping an eye out for your ! Also please feel free to PM as well if you need or would like to talk. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks Jewels. I know what you mean about wanting to be able to cope on your own. But it's just so nice to not have to struggle to be "normal". |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Jewels,
Im sorry to hear of your set back. Im sure you are feeling frustrated and angry at the moment. I have depression but no longer take anything for it. I can't offer any advice as everyone is sooo different. But want you to know that I am thinking of you.... Im sure that if you put your mind to it.. you can do it!!! Try and be positive, have faith in yourself.. and try not put too much pressure on yourself..

how you keeping otherwise? | Aww thank you! I'm doing quite a bit better right now. My dad and his wife came to visit for a couple of days, and I think it helped to put me back into a better frame of mind. I'm just going to take it one day at a time and try not to be so hard on myself. I just have a bad habit of scaring myself about not being able to handle things without a stupid drug. I know it's all in my mind, and I just really need to start my positive thinking again, and get back to meditation. I'm thinking of getting some Omega-3 vitamin supplements, as I hear that these are really good for brain function. My therapist has told me that they are helpful with anxiety and depression!
I hope all is well with you too Alch! How are you doing? |

I also take Vitamin B6 which is meant to be really helpful to fight anxiety, and I use Bach Flower remedies. B6 is helpful for TTC too, and Bach remedies are completely safe for TTC and pregnancy, for when you decide you are ready.
Sending you lots more

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thats a great idea - I take fish oil supplements (all natural and mercury free) which has great omega 3 but no 6 (which isnt great for depression and anxiety apparantly)....
DH and I are about to start TTCing (in 2 weeks or so).....you arent far off i see :-)
I have also now developed a weird twitch in my neck (it was really bad yesterday). I am off to physio - hope its not serious or anxiety caused ...
ha ha, a twitch in my neck??? of all things. At least i am not getting panic attacks, so i should look at the bright side of life.
I was thinking of weaning doewn but think i will stop around my O time rather
thinking of you
