questions questions

sorry me again asking stupid questions.

But do you believe you should have a nest egg for when you start having a baby? or do you think no one is ever financially ready?

I don't think anyone is ever financially ready. I think that once you find out, then you will find a way to pay for it. The only time when it'll really cost alot is for school, unless u bottle feed.

A nest egg is isn't a bad idea. It certainly won't do any harm , and it will make things easier.

There will always been unexpected expenses, but it definitely will not hurt to be a little prepared.

I think it is better to have some money put aside especially for the first.

It's always nice to have a nest egg, but I don't think you'll ever be fully prepared financially.

I agree it would be nice in an ideal world to have a little nest egg but in reality it doesnt always work out that way.

Im in the middle of saving up for a wedding and ive always said whatever comes first, wedding or baby, gets the jackpot lol.

Haha Polo Princess..I am the same....newly engaged and would prefer to have babies first then have our wedding. I am just way to impatient to wait any longer.
Its smart to have some kind of savings for car break downs, house repairs, spring clothing sales..( just kidding). I have lived pay check to paycheck in the past, but now seem to have a handle on money.
Maybe keep track of your spending habits and see how you actually spend your money monthy. That way you'll have a better understanding of where your money goes and how to get some extra cash for baby.
I have no clue how much a baby costs.
Maybe some other mothers can help with that?????
anyway just my 2 cents worth..hehehe

In an ideal world having a nest egg would be the preffered option. However, in the real world things dont always work out that way.. Im newly engaged as well and suspect it will be like poloprincess said..whichever comes first, baby or wedding gets the cash!!

Besides, if you wait til things get perfect... when will that be, you know?

We've decided to just got for it and adapt accordingly

It's a good idea to be a little prepared. I prepare by buying baby things, you know just in case. I figured I could go ahead and buy the not-so expensive smaller things so it's not a stressor later. But that's just me.

IA with the others. You may never be completely ready to have a baby.
