Waiting longer than expected

Hi ladies - well hubby wants to wait until August to TTC. He wants us to have at least 6 months of my salary in the bank before the baby is born. So, I'm really really disappointed because I was having a hard enough time dealing with May. lol I'm 30 now and have wanted a baby for like 5 years although that maternal instinct is extraordinarily strong right now,it's very hard to ignore! lol Everytime I see a pregnant woman, I cry.

I said to hubby, "Oh come on, can't we do it in May, I won't shop anymore!"

Ah, guess I'm just going to have to be more diligent about selling my Mary Kay. lol

I understand what you are going through, I wanted to start TTC much much sooner than my Dh. It took me about 6 months to actually convince him to try

I am in the same situation as you at the moment... i wanted straight away to start

I don't want to wait longer than July... so i m just hoping to get everything sorted before then so i say to you try and save as much as possible. So he then knows, i m trying to organise everything now so there is no excuses in another 4 month

Who knows, maybe he will give in earlier than you think . It took me a year after we got married to convince DH to try, and he still wanted to wait for us to get a 2nd car, me to get a job etc. Sad thing is we 'started early' but it's taking so long that all the things he wanted to wait for has happened over time! bah! lol

Good luck to you

I totally understand. My DH has wanted t wait until we were in a better place and i have to come off my meds this next month.....

but i can honestly say that while it has been dragging, and i have watched miserably while friends have had kids around me, i am trying very hard to enjoy the last year of freedom before the crazy child rearing years begin!!!

I'm trying to think of it that way too - last bits of freedom and sleep before 2 am feedings and such. lol It's hard though especially when you want something so bad. So my little dog Annie (she's a mini daschund) has been quite babied recently!! lol
