Frequent Braxton Hicks!

Hi Ladies

I'm sure this is probably mormal! But is anyone else experiencing ALOT of braxton hicks?

I've just had a midwife appointment and was telling her, and when she went to feel my tummy I had one then! My midwife put it down to 3rd pregnancy!

I was plagued with them in my 3rd twin pregnancy from 20wks, and they completely freaked me out!!! They were occasionally painful too. I got to my scheduled section at 38wks so they never had an effect on my cervix hun, but I did take plenty of rest and I'm convinced that helped. If they are more frequent than every 10/15mins, and last more than a few hrs, then it never hurts or have a check up

I had them quite early on.. like at 16 weeks.. & they have got progressively worse.

The midwife poking about at your tum will def give you a BH. I also find I get a lot if ..

I orgasm
I need a wee or poo
babies are particularly active (a hard kick can set me off)
I get dehydrated
I am tired.

Yep had LOADS from 16 weeks onwards, I think mine were especially bad when I was at work and wasn't drinking enough water. They were also really bad when I was on a flight coming back from our hols, again dehydration. xx

I started at 19 weeks and it has been getting crazy lately! at one point I was getting them every 2 hours then the next day every hour and its been about every hour and irregular at points since then. I had my doc app on monday and she checked me all is well and c-section will be going as planned but until then I will have to deal with these contractions!
