Newbie

Hello

This is my first pregnancy, expecting identical twins - am currently at 34+3,and after 3 stays in hospital due to premature contractions from 28 wks am now on bed rest at home - hoping that the babies will stay put for at least a couple of wks more!

I just wanted to hear from anyone with similar experiences, any words of wisdom for breast feeding, any tips for natural birth - any advice at all really as its all so new....and to be honest still feeling all surreal that soon there'll be not one but two new additions to our family!

Hi Hun, welcome. I have identical twin boys and a five year old boy. The twins are now 18 months old. I didn't have any early contractions thankfully. I was induced at 36+ 3 and had them vaginally. I have to say giving birth to the twins was actually easier than my eldest! With breastfeeding I'd advice you to invest in a twin breastfeeding pillow such as the ez2 nurse. I found it a god-send. I'm not going to lie, breastfeeding was hard work the first few weeks but if you persevere it does get easier. I BF them for 11 months so it couldn't be that bad. This forum is great and the twin mummies here are a great support soif u have any questions fire away, I'm sure you'll get plenty of answers. Good luck with the last few weeks of your pregnancy.

Sorry nothing similar to you, just wanted to say congratulations on your twins and fingers crossed they stay comfy a bit longer.
