Sleeping through - what if one wants to and the other doesnt?

as above really - I am SURE Fynn would sleep through at least one of his night feeds - we had a fluke one last week where they both did and last night they went from 10pm feed to 2.30am which was fab. I was hoping they would then go through till at least 6am but Sam had other ideas and wanted to get up and wonder at the world from 3.30am. Fynn just looks pissed off to be woken up tbh lol but then realises its been three hours since he ate and gets hungry

Soooo how did the sleeping through happen with your twins? Did you have a reluctant one and how did it all pan out?

Hi Vicky, I had exactly the same with my boys! Ben was ready to sleep through long before Joshua was. When they were about 10 weeks old we decided to let Ben sleep and fed Joshua when he woke at 2am but then Ben woke at 3.30am and Joshua again at 6am so we didn't try that again for a while!!

Eventually we found that both boys were feeding at 10pm and then sleeping later and later so we tried letting Ben stay asleep again and success....I fed Joshua at about 3am and Ben would sleep through until the next feed at 6am!! This only lasted for about a week and then we found that Joshua was sleeping longer and could be pacified with a dummy until the 6am feed.

We then fed at 10pm and pacified them with dummies until 6am, sometimes only once a night but othertimes 4 or 5 times. Then when we started weaning them at 4 & half / 5 months they truly started sleeping through the night and now have their final feed at 7.30pm and sleep through until 7am which is bliss!

So after all that waffle I'm afraid we found that it was just trial and error!!
