Whoop whoop only up once last night

AND IT EVEN DESERVES MORE CAPITALS HEHEHEHEHEHEHE

My boys are sooooooooooo clever - one or the other has shown signs of sleeping through one of their night feeds for a week or so but following the cardinal rule of 'wake the other if one wakes' I havent let them BUT last night I gave them both 30ml extra at their 10pm feed. They usually wake at 1am and 4am but ...................... we had a few whinges and grumbles at 1am which were soon sorted out with the dummy and then ......... 2.30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2.30am that meant nearly four hours sleep for me WHOOP WHOOP. I did the tandem feed thing on the pillow as they were BOTH very hungry at this point and I havent tried it for a few weeks. They fed in SEVEN MINUTES hahahaha and then back to bed. They then woke at 5.30 which is the time I used to get up for work anyway.

I feel like I could run a marathon today yay yay yay

I really dont do too bad sleep wise - it takes an hour to do the whole cycle by myself and a lot less if I dont do nappies. I am gradually getting it down to about 45 mins though as they get more efficient at feeding and I get quicker with nappies lol.

I feed the last feed at 10pm so asleep about 1 second passed 11 then worst is 1-2 another cycle and 4-5 another cycle but then at 5am the dogs think its morning booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

The BIG trouble is I am a sleep aholic and used to get 8 hours a night so going from that to sometimes 4 or even 6 hours of broken sleep isnt good xxxx

Vicky thank you for your post...

I have 3 week old twin girls who are generally not hard to settle down when fussy, etc -- except lately at night, Gabby will not close her eyes after the early night feeding (8:15) AND now does the same thing at the 11:15 feeding... She starts to fuss and then it elevates into a cry... I know she is still little but keep hoping she'll start to soothe herself. I watch 45, 60 minutes pass along and think "GOD I could have used that extra sleep!" Last night even had me sobbing at midnight with my husband trying to help by rubbing my back -- seems the 3 weeks of crappy sleep has caught up to me.

Anyway the hardest hardest hardest part of all of this IS the lack of sleep - getting no more than 2 hours straight at any given time -- and I always said the part of parenthood I dreaded the most was the lack of sleep... It's proving to be true! I used to be a sleepaholic too. SIGH!

Just nice to know that you are going through the same thing... Good luck to you!!!
