8 week update

Both babies are growing nicely! Alex is 9lb 4oz and Madeline is 7lb 10oz. I am still bfing but I don't ever feel like I am making enough milk. Sometimes they want to nurse every 1-1.5 hours and I feel so tired. The past two nights they were up every 2 hours on the dot. Other then the exhaustion, I'm doing great lol! They tell me they get better at 3 months but I'm not believing it till I see it I'm slowing trying to tandem feed but it's hard when someone is not there to help me. We all end up uncomfortable and both babies don't get fed well. Any advice especially feeding or how to get my milk supply up would be appreciated.

BTW Dana, I got the Babywise book and I'm going through it. I also got the "mothering multiples" by the Le Leche League and I think it's a good book too. If I followed what they suggested, maybe my milk supply wouldn't be short. I'm getting like 2oz on one breast and 3-4oz on the other every 3 hours but they need 2-3 oz every 2-2.5 hours. So I'm really close to producing what they need.

You could try Fenugreek to increase your milk supply. I had a week where my supply decreased and taking Fenugreek instantly upped my supply. It's just an herb you buy over the counter. Most people say it takes a week to notice a difference but it was hours for me.

I promise, it really does get better by 3 months. We are now sleeping 6-8 hours a night (in a row) and it's amazing!

If you call me sometime I can walk you through how I got them latched on by myself. I've always tandem fed and it gives you so much more extra time in your day. Did you get an EZ2Nurse Twin nursing pillow. They are spendy but truly a life saver.

Message me and I can get you my phone number if you want to talk.

I really do think Babywise will help you. I swear by it! And nearly worship it! lol.

They are simply amazing!!!!

Well done on the BF - I had to quit (so sad about that) and am just getting my head around tandem bottle feeding which is hard enough.

When my husband and daycare bottle feed they put them in the car seats and sit in between them. Seems to work well.
