When?

When did you tell people you were pregnant and with twins??

I told my mum the day I found out cos she was on holiday with my pops! and my sister and brother too

Marks mum and dad found out after my 6 week scan (only one baby there then) and his sister!

Then we found out it was twins at 8 weeks and a few family members knew but not many!

and then i announced it to the whole world via facebook at 13 weeks lol!

We had a mixed reaction, some were overjoyed, others werent lol. but i didnt care I was having babies! x

I told everyone I could on my way home from the hospital after my 12 week scan where I found out...

I was overjoyed and it is the first scan I have cried at.

My family were very positive, but my husband's family weren't at all, except his Mum, who was wonderful. He Dad just went silent on the end of the phone! Presumably as we already have five children between us. (three mine, two his from previous marriages) A lot fo people have also said really annoying things like we will need a bigger car (we won't!) or that it 'could have been worse, it could have been triplets' as if having twins is a bad thing. Idiots, I won't be able to hold my tongue for much longer...

i have had mixed reactions off ppl as i'm 10 wks and found out at 6 wks and i already have 4 kids, me and partner split before i found out i was pregnant but i'm not bothered wot ppl have to say because at the end of day i have my family and close friends supporting me x

We told most people on the way home from my first scan at nine weeks, when we found out. Everyone was thrilled for us except my mil, who still is not really talking to us about it, and one of my sisters. She's over it now, and helped throw a baby shower for me..

We kept the announcing of pregnancy until after our 12 weeks scan to be sure everything was okay. OH's parents were great and they are so excited, he is alot old than me so his parents are both nearly 80 but it feels like we have given them a new lease of life! my mum is so excited but my dad very reserved. Friends that know are great about it but we havent made any real announcements to friends or on FB yet. We have 4 children between us already but these are 'our' first. We try to keep a positive outlook and know that regardless of what people think (and there will be people that tell him that at 50 he is mad to be extending his family) we know these 2 little miracles are our so precious and there disapproval will make no difference.

Hi all!! We find out at an early scan at 8 weeks and were so shocked and thrilled that we told the whole family as soon as possible. Once they had all been told we then announced it to friendx etc!! Everyone was so pleased for us. Can't believe that some people were unhappy with your news! Jealousy me thinks x

I told everyone I could almost right away. I was sooo excited. We did in vitro after trying naturally for a year and after 2 artificial inseminations. So, everyone was overjoyed that we were having 2!

We told everyone after our first scan at 11 weeks when we found out it was twins! Everyone was over the moon for us except for my MIL. We showed her the scan picture and her first words were "how did that happen"....I really had to hold my tongue there!!! My husband then asked her whether she had anything to say about becoming a grandmother for the first time and she said something along the lines of well thats that then and walked off!!

She soon came around though and now we can't keep her away from the boys! Its really strange how some people react though isn't it?!
