Hi guys

Phew what a mad life it is atm - not sure if I posted it (brain mashed lol) but Fynn has suspected NEC (steps away from google) it IT very serious but not usually found in 'big' 'full term' babies such as our lad. Basically the condition is a bowel immaturity/diseased where a portion dies. this can range from a sligh 'bubbling' seen on x-ray (which Fynn has) to full blown awfullness. They caught it very early with Fynn and the signs are good. Basically he is nil by mouth for seven days (he is on day 4) and then they start to reintroduce food gradually. He is on TPN (???) for all his nutrition and anti biotics to clear any infection and totally rest his gut.

We are backwards and forwards every day to SCBU with Sam which is wearing to say the least but hey ho.

Sam is thriving bless him and we had them both in Fynns heated cot yesterday which was lovely.

I am reeling from feeling very positive about it all and thinking he will be home next weekend to imagining awful worst case scenarios.

OHOHOHOHO and my beautiful boys are one week old today xxxxxxxx

I hope you are all well I havent had time to catch up with anything xxxxxxx

Congratulations - they are gorgeous fellas! Sending hugs for Fynn. It sounds like they are doing everything they can, so it's that difficult 'wait and see' time that has you on the edge of your seat Will be thinking of you And happy first week birthday

oohhh ladies thank you - am in tears AGAIN - lol post delivery hormones are worse than pregnancy ones hehe

All good today Fynn still fab - basically we are looking for stability this week as any signs he isnt doing well would indicate a worsening of the condition - so no news is good news. He has his long line tube in his head whick although was horrible to see he is a lot more comfortable and cant pull it which he was doing a lot from his arm. He is 'grumpy' a lot as he is hungry and fiesty which must be a good sign.

I am getting loads of rest and more sleep than when pregnant - sam is a routine 3 hourlyly feeder so only one night feed. from 8pm thurs - 10am friday I got in 10 hours sleep. Thanks to my wonderful Rob xxxxx

keep those positive vibes going ladies - monday is d-day xxxxxxxx
