Folic Acid

Hi Everyone.

I'm after some advice. Were any of you "multiple mummies" told to increase yo folic acid intake? I am currently taking 400mcg per day but am not sure whether i should double it as I am having twins. I meant to ask at the hospital on Thursday but I forgot . I will phone them on Monday, but in the meantime, can anybody help?

Thanks xxx

My midwife said a twin pregnancy in the beginning is just like a singleton..So, not to double up on any vitamins..not needed. I had heard that too, and wondered. She said not to worry about it. It's not until after 20 weeks that we really need to watch what we are eating, and make sure we are packing in the protein..
