EEKKKKK - I am scared about how my stomach will look after the boys are here. Is it really bad after multiple births? I saw some awful pics (bloody google) of skin hanging down and never coming back - surely its not always like that is it?
Come on multiple mummies please tell me it does come back with time and effort xxxxxxxxxxx
ps am googling for surgeons to do a tummy tuck next lol
oohh thanks - I lost 7 stone in 5months a few years ago and didnt get loose skin so am kind of hoping I have good genes lol. Hmmmmmmm havent been doing bio oil maybe I better start
I didn't use Bio-Oil and to be honest my stomach isn't that bad.
7 months on its nearly back to the way it was, bit flabby!!
(BTW i dont have a washboard stomach - I wish)
2 weeks later mine isn't all that bad either. I still look a bit pregnant but slowly day by day it's going back to normal. It's small enough now that with a girdle I look normal clothed.
Oh, also, at 2 weeks post partum I'm only 4 lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight and I swear that's probably all in my boobs!
My doctor did say to expect 6 months or so for the skin to go back to "normal". I plan to go buy a nice girdle once I go back to work. I can post pictures in a couple weeks of what my belly looks like a month post partum so you can somewhat know what to expect. Of course, everyone is a bit different. I only gained 40 pounds (that's what the doctor suggested) so that helped.
As I said before, 2 weeks post partum I'm only 4 lbs above pre-pregnancy. However, I gained 8 lbs doing 6 months worth of fertility treatment. So, I'm actually 12 lbs above my norm. I figure I still have a couple pounds in my belly and a couple pounds in my boobs.
