Matching names for non-identicals ?

Having found two names I think I quite like I tried to chat to OH about this but its apparent that he's not overly interested (he said basically he'd only tell me if he absolutely hated any name choices whereas I need a bit of passion) so....

the names I like are like Maisy and Daisy in that they're spelt the same except the first letter. Should my girls turn out non-identical do you think it's ok to have such 'twinny' names?

And has anyone decided on names yet and prepared to reveal what they are?

Whilst I do love the names Maisy and Daisy lol personally I wouldn't name my twins matching names, I have quite a few twin friends ( identical and non) and they all are glad they don't have similiar names! They want to be individuals, and having maching names can get a bit much.

But its all down to you! If you like names that go nicely maybe use aliteration? So their first names start with the same letter? Maisy and Mia or something lol xxx

love the names but I wouldnt go with the same phrasing either - basically for individuality and also when they are learning their names etc etc.

Ours are named Fynn Robert and Sam William xxxxxxxx

Someone had asked me if I was planning on matching names, and I told them it just was not my thing..I have talked to twins, identicals mostly, and they really do like being separate..

I wouldn't personally, I'm not keen on the too twinny thing. I wouldn't even match initials because think how difficult it'll be when they get post to "Miss. M. Whatever". You won't know whose is whose.

Also, a time will come when you need to shout at them (hard to imagine at this point, I know) but say if one is doing something dangerous and you shout "DAISY NO!!!". I'd be worried that she wouldn't react because it could be her sister you are shouting at IYKWIM.

I like the names you've picked, but again, for individuality I wouldn't have such similar names personally. We have picked Harry and Tilly if the twins are boy/girl or if they are same sex, Harry and James or Tilly and Neve. We have a long way to go though and will probably change our minds LOL !! xx

My girls are named Addison and Olivia. We chose names that flow together but don't sound alike.
