Really Stupid Question

Ok, please don't come after me, I know this is a stupid question. But I just can't get over the feeling that I could be having twins. Thing is, I've had three ultrasounds done, one at 9+1, another at 18+5, and a third at 19+1. Every scan has showed just one baby in there. And there is no history of twins anywhere in my family. But I just can't get over this feeling. Plus, the other day I was even more convinced because I thought I felt hiccups on both sides of my stomach (left and right). I don't know why I keep thinking this, so can someone please help me restore my sanity? I don't think three ultrasounds would be wrong.

Going on the other end of this, does anyone have any stories of "surprise" twins, even after ultrasounds?

I agree. I don't think 3 ultrasound could be wrong. However, I do have a friend who was monitored really closely and had several ultrasounds and the twin wasn't seen until her 18 week ultrasound. Still not sure how that's possible!

i guess it does happen but i think its more likely that they wouldve seen 2 babies on the scans. my twins have never had hiccups at the same time, maybe the feeling couldve been a bum or leg or something over the other side that moved with each hiccup?
