Vanishing Twin

Hi all,

Just popping in to say a fond farwell. I had my scan yesterday (8 weeks 4 days) and it showed one very strong heartbeat and normal growth. Unfortunately Twin B was not doing so well, and we couldn't find a heartbeat. My Dr. said the other baby looks fine, and loosing Twin B would not affect it.

So I'm full of mixed emotions at the moment. So very happy that one of the babies is doing fine. And both sad and relieved about Twin B. I'm single, and was very worried about how I would handle twins on my own. Very, very worried. I knew I'd make it work, but it was going to be remarkably difficult for me. I know most people are very thrilled to find out they are having twins, and I was too - but I was also a bit reserved in my happiness. My goal had always been one healthy baby. But at the same time, I'm so sad that one of my embies was not able to stay strong.

Anyway, good luck to all of you, I hope you continue to have healthy pregnancies! I'll check in once in while!
