| Survey>>what was your diet like when you concieved multiples? Hi ladies i would just love to have twins(save me having another pregnancy after this/ 2for1 etc lol) i am wondering if theres a special diet any1 was eating, drinking or lifestyle that you was leading during the time you concieved? Was you taking clomid, soy isoflavins or was it natural for you and you just released two eggs that mth? I have heard that yams apparantly are supposed to increase the release of multiple eggs during o time, although for the life of me cant find where sells them!! can anyone confirm this?? | | | | Status: Offline

| for me we believe the main factor was that i had an iud in for a year, and had hardly any period with that. when it came out my body released more eggs, because it had been so irregular for a year...also i am older with three other children which comes into play as well. | | | | Status: Offline

| Yams are so awful, really yuckky. My mum used to make me eat them as a kid, hated them!
If you're wanting some (hunt some recipes down first!) I'd recommend to find an African grocer - one of the kind that sells all sorts of strange looking things... They're a root vegetable.
Above is a piccy of what they look like
Good Luck.
Ps. Did I mention they taste awful!?!?!?!?! | | | | Status: Offline

TBH I suspect that anything that you hear is most likely an old wives tale. It tends to be a genetic thing whether you release two eggs or not and splitting is just down to chance. | | | | Status: Offline

| I wasn't eating anything special and my twins are identical, so I only released one egg. I guess it is just luck of the draw. | | | | Status: Offline
