I have a hunch...

I just have this feeling I'm pregnant with twins. I'm 10 weeks and showing and my uterus is about 4 cm above my pubic bone. This is my first pregnancy, so I can't compare to others, but I just feel it in my gut. I do have a family history as well as my mom had fraternal twins.

I will report back in 2 weeks after my 12 week appointment. I'll either be embarrassed that I thought it was twins (I know probably every pregnant woman thinks that at some point) or I'll be correct! We'll see. I just wanted to write it down, so I can come back to this post and see if I was right.

Honestly I'd be relieved to find out it is just one. My mom had a terrible twin pregnancy and a friend of mine lost twins at 4 months last year and the thought of a high-risk pregnancy scares me. But I'm sure if it is twins I'll get used to the idea and get lots of support from twin moms like you!

The idea of having twins never crossed my mind so I was in complete shock when I discovered at a 6-week scan that I was in fact having two. Had mixed emotions at first but now I'm loving it. Even though I'm having twins though, I didn't start showing until about 5 months - I guess everyone is just different:-) good luck with your scan and be sure to come back and let us know if your hunch is right xx

Hi everyone, I'm new and this is my first post. I hope that you all have a safe and blessed pregnancy.

My hubby and i discovered we're expecting twins at our 6 week scan (not identical bcos they're in 2 separate sacs) and I'm only 12 weeks pregnant, so the road is still a long one.

I haven't figured out the little gizmos yet but would like to keep track of the progress of the due date like you've all done with your due date calenders.

i think the babys would be in different bags but they will be sharing the same placenta thats what makes them identicle xx

congratualtion bambi!!! how is pergnancy going so far. and welcome aboard.
babies can be identical wethere they are same sac (mono) or different sac (di) and if they share or dont share a placenta. if they are in same sac they are always identical. if you have two same sex that dont share sac/placenta you will not be sure if they are identical or not until they are born and if you chose to do dna. i was in the same boat with di/di twins and was unsure until i found out i had one boy one girl...hence obviously not identical.
p.s if you want the little calendar/ticker thing...just click on someones that you like and go from there!
