Double Buggy!

Hi I thought this would be the best place to post this.
My DS is 5 months & I'm 16 wks pregnant with no 2 which means that DS will only be 11 months when no 2 is born I was wondering if you could help me with buggies. It needs to be fairly lightweight and easy to get on a bus with 2young babies as that's my only form of transport.
I've seen the phil & teds and quite like it and was wondering if anyone could give me advice on it.
Thanks x

hi i used a maclaren for my twins very easy to get on and off the bus with no problems at all and light in weight compared to all the others out there!!

i found that doubles ones that are not side by side or have car seats were always a lot heavier than the maclaren that i used

Hey,
The pram you would be looking for and one which is suitable for twins are quite different. No idea really about phil and teds because both seats arent suitable for newborns. Though I will say that my pram (icandy)'s downside is that one baby has to be lower than the other, and I believe that this is even worse with phil and teds as the baby would be underneath almost.

Another consideration is whether you want your baby to be able to face you or not?

In terms of getting about and on buses etc I couldnt deal with a side by side buggy and imo tandem is best choice. However be mindful of the length because that can be quite awkward on public transport.

Dont know how helpful I've been lol. Hopefully its some food for thought.

Xxxxxxxxx

First Wheels City Elite Twin, it's a side by side that you can attach a carrycot to for the newborn and also has pushchair seats that you can face in and outwardly.....

John Lewis and Mothercare stock this item, but Mothercare do not keep this product instore to view but John Lewis do, so you could view it it there in person!

Good Luck!

I have heard reports about the phil and teds as the child on the bottom can put their fingers in the spokes in the wheel and they can get trapped when the wheels move.

What about the mamas and papas aria?

The firstwheels city twin is gorgeous as I had one but I didn't keep it for long

There is simply no way it would fit on a bus, it is a bus plus the weight of it is awful

Thanks for the replies! I was thinking of using my Buzz for Oscar for the first few months and using a sling for the baby but Oscar loves the sling as well and I don't want him to be jealous of the new baby!
I'll have a look at the one's you've all suggested.

OMG! I've just fallen in love with this pram!! Can I persuade DF to buy it? Hmm...... maybe if we sell the Buzz and save up for a bit? My grandparents have said they want to buy us something for the baby, which they've done for all their great-grandchildren so I may just ask them to put a bit toward it for us! I may have to stop using the buses and walk everywhere which isn't such a bad idea actually!!
Thank You so much for suggesting this pram!!

Sorry I don't want to rock the boat but have you seen the reviews for this pram? I really liked the look of it too and how you can have a carrycot and the seat facing you too. There are hardly any positive reviews
