I really dont want to be judged and Im going to be 100% honest here...

As moomintroll said I shouldnt let it upset me around my daughters(I have 2 and a son!)and I dont,I hide it well and try to give them as much confidence in themselves as I can, Im always telling my kids how beautiful and special they are as I want them to have high self esteem.

Iv'e had low self esteem for years, my DR thinks I may be body dysmorphic but I dont think so as surely if I was I'd hate all of myself and I dont I actually like the rest of my body I dont care about strechmarks or my saggy tummy its just the boobs that bother me.

I get so upset about not being able to afford a BA that I actually cry(not in front of the kids!) pathetic I know!

my mate has a cups and said it was depressing her so she got DD's for free.

i think they nhs should use money on makin itself better then on boobs but its there if u feel u need it so use it

I have seen my doctor who refered me to a counseller for reports, once he found out I was completely normal he refused to refer me, basically saying to get surgery on the NHS these days you have to be suicidal!I know I feel bad but not as bad as that,so lots of saving for a few years I think!

I think it all depends on which area you are in and the kind of DR you have, for example my DR is male so maybe does not understand in the same way a female GP would IYKWIM.

I realise now that there is not much I can do apart from to keep waiting and keep saving, It may take 5 years + but I'll get there in the end.

I think it's naive to think that the media has not changed the way women view themselves and slowly its beginning to work it's magic on men too though they are an awfully long way behind us.

Did anyone see the sex education show on channel 4? It was quite good but it made me laugh when they described porn bodies as being perfect in the context of saying they're not natural, as if that's not just buying into the sterotype!

It frightens me to think that should they not look exactly 'right' girls these days are expected to have boob jobs, remove all body hair, wear make up constantly, pay a fortune on getting their hair done, not eat anything...etc...etc...

We are the only animal (as far as I'm aware as a biologist) where it's the female who has to evolve in attractiveness to get a mate rather than the male. They need us, they should be falling at our feet not the other way around!

I don't consider anyone's looks in the sense of what they were born with but I do consider what image they are trying to put out by what they do to themselves when I meet someone for the first time, positively and negatively. I've never been wrong about my first impressions.
