Ive been looking into these for a while, they seem so expensive!

How do they work? are they reuseable? Do you need to keep buying anything for it?

Reccomended?

i'm using one, it's really good but it does get a bit pricey. on first day of af you press the button to let it know it's cd1. then every morning you switch it on and it automatically counts cd3, cd4 etc, around cd7 or 8 it will ask you to poas, you do this and it will read your level of lh (or something) you poas for 10 days in a row with fmu and it tells you the exact day your hormones peak so you know exact day to bd.

in canada the sticks are $60 for 20 (2 cycles) not sure how much they would be in uk but probably around 25 pounds for 2 months worth.

honest opinion - a friend of mine lent it to me so i didn't pay for the machine but if you know approx when you ovulate it's probably not worth the expense. i thought it would guarantee me to get pg as i would bd at the right time: 6 months later - nothing (well, i 've only been using the machine for 3 months). in fact it's almost more upsetting as you know you did everything right, therefore there must be a problem. i would recommend it if you have problems figuring when you o but if you pretty know every month then it's not that useful.

I use one as well. It does it's job, if you have a normal cycle. I got one because it tracks estrogen as well. I don't like the fact that it only allows me to test 10 or 20 days a month. I think it's dumb to have you continue to test if you have a peak reading. Or if you don't have a peak reading, it stops you from continued testing. I still use OPK and would have not caught my O if I didn't. It stopped asking me to test on CD27. I O'ed today CD44 so it would not have caught it. It also made me worry and stressed when I don't test high or peak. I don't regret buying it because it still does give me estrogen information which I think is part of reason why my cycles have been so out of whack.

It was something i was thinking of looking into if my Lap showed no problems.
