Home Pregnancy Tests - which ones do you rate/slate?

Hi - I might as well start with the three brands I have used!

* Clearblue Digital - the king of the HPTs. Absolutely excellent, measures at 25 miu, so you can test up to four days early. As it is a digital, you don't need to squint at lines (unless you especially enjoy doing so) and if you are indeed preggers, it gives you a happy glow when the digital panel flashes up 'pregnant.' The downside to this test is that you can't look at the line, so if you are measuring things like increasing darkness of the line, you can't do so with this brand (they don't reccomend opening it). Also, it is really expensive £11.99 for one test, but £14.99 for two.
- Rating: 10/10

* Asda's own brand - supposedly tests at 25 miu and indeed, I did get an extremely faint positive on this brand three days early. However, it does say test on the day of your missed period. The ink used is pink so it is a bit harder to squint at than the blue. I found that the lines don't show up that well unless you leave them for a while - but that could just be for me! Very cheap £3.90 for two.
-rating: 6/10

* Boots own brand - not really my favourite. Tests at 50 miu. I found that the appearance of the line happens quite quickly (but faintly) if you test from the day of your missed period, but takes ages to actually get darker. So, if you are standing in the toilet at Debenhams, not ideal! Average price - about £8.00 for two tests. At the moment they have a half price deal which takes them down to £4.00. If you are part of their health club (free to join) you can get them for £2.50 for two (bargain!).
-rating - 4/10

CB digitals defo not one to always use for early testing though can give a flase negative.

CB pee on stick but throw after 10 minutes. The thin outter line they give you though can be very frustrating.

Cheapies for early testing although lower than the 25 miu are known more for evaps. If you believe a positive result is showing retest with another test the next morning.

Tesco pinkies really like these tests, reliable & affordable.

First response (*boo*) - Disappearing lines (known for as well) no good in my eyes

I used a CB test the day I expected my period and got a BFN.

I also used Lifebrand, a brand I believe you can only find in Canada (one of those showed a BFN (day after I expected my period) but got my BFP on it 4 days later

I love CB Digital! I hate First Response. At 13 DPO I took 3 tests. A CB Digital, First Response, and a Dollar store brand one...oh wait and I took a Equate test and all of them were positive except for the stupid First Response. I took another First Response the next day and it was still negative. I definitely recommend the CB Digital!

First Response has never worked for me. I got my BFP with Charlie using a Boots own that my friend gave me when she got her BFP with one out of a double pack! Next day I tested again with First Response and it was a BFN!

I'm currently using the cheapo's that Wobbles sent me. BFN's, but I don't think that's a problem with the tests!!
