Made another post for this, but just so everything is kept together....
Blood test results update
Saw my GP today, the progesterone tests have definatley gone missing, he doesnt have them either. Grrrr.
He did give me a copy of all blood tests ive had to date that were done through them.
From the results he had hes still saying suggestable PCOS, but my doctor at the hospital said i dont have it.
I know it is hard to diagnose PCOS by blood test, only if your severe i think it really shows up, so i think im boderline. I have/had all the signs of it, i think with all teh weight loss its eased up a bit.
Well i hope things start getting better with this hospital.
Went in for my blood test and had to wait an hour and 20 mins!
One of the nurses was off sick, cant be helped i guess.
Had another appointment today, the original tests that had gone missing eventually came back. They showed i didnt ovulate but the ones for hte next cycle said i did. Because i still ovulated on my own the dr still doesnt want to give me clomid which is fine by me.
For anyone interested, my progesterone levels for the cycle i did ovulate was 43. You need over 30 to have ovulated.
So we discussed the next option which was the dye and x-ray thing or a laparoscopy.
She said the waiting time was the same for either.
The laparoscopy is more invasive than the xray one but it shows alot more results.
I didnt have any strong feelings either way so went with her reccomendation which was the laparoscopy.
The waiting list is 3 months but shes put me on the cancellation list, so can be anytime really.
