Thumbs up

TTC with my 1st - any help/tips/info will be much appreciated!

Hi there!!

I've literally just signed up tonite after finding BnB on google, and reading thru some psts u guys have put out there to other ppl ttc, expecting or pround parents and I must say I was amazed my all the support and encouragement and enthusiasm u guys expressed! Well done, it's lovely!!

Anyway, my name's Lauryn, I've been with my partner Scott for nearly 4 years now and we are both now ready to try for our first child at the tender ages of 21 + 22 (me being the youngest!!). I'd say we are both responsible (in a sense lol!!), we have our priorities in the right order and fully understand what comes with parenthood! But I suppose the saying that goes is completely true, you can never be completely ready for parenthood - I'm guessing when it happens, you just switch to automatic pilot!!? Either way I'm majorly excited to one day (hopefully soon!) to be a mummy and to see and know what my own child will be like - it seems crazy!!

So, we only just decided to try and conceive about 2 months ago, and thats about when I stopped taking contraception (Cilest - 21day pill). After reading up on it, it can take anything up to a year for my cycle to be normal, but I'm hoping I'm a lucky one that can just stop taking their pill and get pregnant really quick!!

According to my calculations, I have just gone past my fetile stage (and trust me, we were very busy trying to conceive throughout!!) and am now in lunear/luneas!? I cant remember what its called!! I think I'm a couple of days late, but with me coming off my pill and being on it for 5 years or more I'm not really sure what my real cycle is like, so don't want to take a test incase it's negative, or in case it's too early - I think it'd get me down!!

So basically, enough of my ranting - I was just wondering if anyone has any tips, or ideas as to what I could do to maybe speed things up!? I've been taking folic acid, and after much ttc acts with Scott I have been laying with my legs and bum in the air! I don't know if this helps, or if its just an old wives tale but thought I'd give it a whirl lol!!

So I will keep you updated, but like I said... any help, no matter how small or insignificant is much, much appreciated!!

Lauryn xx

Thanks so much DaisyDuke... I'm going to investigate and invest in these! Although never heard of pre seed or angus cactus, but I'm willing to give anything a shot.

How long have you been ttc for? x
