jacobs mummy ttc journey for BABY GIRL

Hi.. i'm pretty new on here... so be gentle with me! I have a little boy called jacob (as you've probably guessed from my user name ).. and would love baby no 2 to be girl. Probably sounds easy enough! 50/50 chance! but nope not for me... my husband has been married before and has 3 sons to his first wife. (they also lost a baby boy) .. so thats 5 boys! not so easy now! also i have a task of convincing my husband another baby is what we BOTH want! I've been reading "how to choose the sex of your baby"... by DR Shettles. All sounds easy but is it? we're supposed to BD 3 days before O as girl are slower at swimming but lives longer. Also i'm supposed to be acidic down below. So i've come off the pill - this is my first month. I got a positive on my OPK sat.. which is about right as this was CD11. My cycle used to be between 27, 28, 29 days. I need to monitor my cycle for 3 months althou it's so tempting to start trying now!

This is my journey (hope it's not too long) on getting our baby daughter!

CD1 - 23rd July
CD7 - 29th July - BD
CD11 - 2nd Aug - positive OPK
CD12 - 3rd Aug - probably O...

thanks alexas mommy.. that is really interesting! it says eating red meat and salty food helps produce a baby boy! well i have to put salt on everything.. even pitza (i know.. how bad is that) and meat.. well a meal isn't a meal unless it has meat on it.. and i eat my steak blue... always have! in fact when i was pregnant i never ate meat as i just can't stomach it cooked well.. i lived on fish. It says eating chocolate helps to get a baby girl... well i'm in this 100% so i'm off to the fridge... i think jacob still has a few easter eggs.. will they be off? oh and i bought a mutli pack of twix n kit kat the other day... I hope this baby girl knows how much she's wanted and what i had to do to get her!

I really hope that everything works out for you, you better get cracking on that chocolate lol... also chocolate has a chemical in it-forget what it is called, but apparently makes you very happy, so thats always good when your ttc, so it probably won't take long for you to concieve! good luck!

ps - oh yes a blood soaked steak.. and mop the blood up with your chips with loads of salt n pepper! best! sorry if that was TMI..

Should it be you or your oh who eats these things, as sperm decides the sex of the baby. I have 3 girls and 1 boy, but unfortunately can offer no advise All good fun , as long as you are not obsessed and will be disappointed if you do not get your daughter. (I only say this as we have a friend who had 4 boys then a girl. Mother was so chuffed but the daughter is now 10 and such a tomboy!) Welcome to bnb

Chocolate you say... I'll have to give it a try. Its a good excuse anyway.
Just wanted to wish you luck in your quest for a girl. I'm raising three boys, so I could do with some esterogen in my house too. LOL

I believe that even though the women are eating the chocolate, the sperm with the female chromosomes are more attracted to the egg due to the food the mother ate... just my best assumption here!!
