Cool

Curiosa's TTC Journal - *Recycled after MC**

I thought I'd have a go at a journal too. Hoping it won't end up being long! (fingers crossed!)

My background - tyring not to bore you too much!:
Hubby and I got married in May 2007, I am 27 and he is 29. It's kind of funny because I have always had this great urge to have kids (since I was a kid myself really), but after we got married I started thinking I wanted to enjoy married life for a bit before starting to TTC. Instead, my husband who had previously wanted to wait a bit, suddenly got this urge to be a daddy as soon as we got married! So we kind of compromised and I said I wanted to wait a year and go on several holidays just the two of us... so we went on this mad holiday-spree and we're still waiting to go to Japan in October (half my family is from Japan).
Back in January 2008 I went to my GP and said we were thinking about TTC soon, he prescribed folic acid. And at the end of Feb 2008, I stopped taking BCP (I'd been taking BCP non-stop for almost 10 years: first Dianette, then Microgynon and finally Marvelon)
Before BCP I always had very long and irregular cycles. I never had a cycle less than 2 months long, and sometimes it was more like 3 months long. It did worry me back then but didn't know what to do about it or who to talk to, so didn't give it much thought. I also had very long and heavy AF (7-8 days and every heavy for 4 days or so).

Since stopping BCP in Feb, I have been monitoring Temperature and CM, and also had a go at OPK.
I have had only two cycles:
Cycle #1: 63 days, OV'd on CD 54, LP of 9 days only
Cycle #2: 66 days, no ovulation detected (no real temp rise and OPKs all negative)

I'm now on Cycle#3 of my TTC Journey!

TTC Cycle: #3
CD: 8

Ok, so after two painfully long cycles, I decided to see my GP again. The appointment was this morning. I was prepared to battle it out and make sure I got at least a blood test done to check my hormones....
truth is, I didn't even have to!
I saw this GP I'd never seen before (cause I couldn't remember the name of the last GP I saw, who was very nice). And this young lady was REALLY nice. Actually looked like she'd practiced her "very-concerned-GP" look a bit too much . Anyway I explained everything to her and she was VERY understanding.

This is what we're going to do:
  1. Tomorrow I will do a fasting blood test to check hormone levels and anything else there is to check
  2. She has booked me for an ultrasound scan to check whether there is a possibility I have PCOS or other problems with my ovaries
What do you girls think? Success or what!?
I am very happy because she took me seriously!
Even more, she actually said: "I'm sorry I cannot refer you to have more in-depth fertility tests done now because we have to wait at least 12 month. Do you have a problem with this?"
wow very impressed she'd make sure I was ok with everything she'd said. (I haven't had very good experiences with GPs so far, so very happy)

Thanks girls! I think with all the bad luck I've had with GP's in the past, I was bound to find a good surgery this time. yay!

CD8
Temp : 36.1
CM : amazingly enough: EWCM !!
Mood:

Yes, strangely enough I have had a very short AF (only 4 days, 2 days of which were very light) and immediately after... or actually, even WHILE I had AF I could see blood mixed with EWCM (sorry, TMI!!) . I have had more EWCM (and clearer) that I have ever had in previous cycles, and today - sorry this is TMI, i know - CM stretched to over 30cm, yes THIRTY CENTIMETRES! What the hell!?
((in previous cycles when I had EWCM it wasn't always completely clear, sometimes it was streaked with yellowish or white-ish mucous, but this was really perfect looking!))

But I'm only on CD 8 and my cycles have been UBER-long! and in the previous 2 cycles I never had EWCM so early on. I usually had 2 bouts of fertile CM, one at about CD30/40day, and one around CD50/55day.
Also, I have been having SORE nipple. And I mean SORE, they are constantly hard and even without touching them I feel this eeeek feeling, like when you feel metal on your teeth and it really bothers me. If I touch them they hurt. I have had dermatitis on my nipples before, but it doesn't feel anything like dermatitis. I don't understand.
What's going on!?

I did OPK, just to make sure, but they've been negative.
I also seduced hubby and we last night, cause you never know, right?
